Apache Tomcat is a servlet container that can be used to compile and run web applications built in Java.

WE TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE

We have extensive experience creating Apache Tomcat applications and assisting our clients with any difficulties they may encounter, whether they need help troubleshooting an issue, upgrading an installation, or creating a new setup. We know how to diagnose errors in Tomcat, implement written fixes, and incorporate those fixes into the Tomcat environment.

OUR SERVICES

Some of the services we offer:

Recurso 110

UPGRADE

As application and security needs change and grow, your web application may require some attention. We can work on your existing applications to upgrade them or add features as needed.

Recurso 111

NEW UPDATES

Tomcat, which is a great solution, has strong Java type checking that reduces errors in the code. Additionally, there is a complete ecosystem of code quality tools for Java: tools that can analyze applications and point out coding errors.

Recurso 120 2

HIGH PERFORMANCE

We use automated tools like SpotBugs and PMD to ensure that the code we create is robust and defect-free. This approach directly translates into lower costs for you.

ADVISORY SERVICES

We offer consulting services that include mentoring and performance tuning for all Tomcat components.

ADMINISTRADOR TOMCAT

In Tomcat 6.x and later versions, the only graphical administrative tool provided is the Manager web application. This tool is primarily used for quickly altering the deployment of a web application without restarting the entire container. You can use this tool in one (or more) of three ways:

1. URI COMMAND ACCESS

The manager can receive commands in URI format and return parseable responses. This feature exposes the Manager's functionality for custom administrative scripts.

2. HTML CONSOLE ACCESS

A locally accessible web console that allows you to control the deployment and termination of web applications, as well as information about various JVM and OS values.

3. ANT AUTOMATION

A quite powerful and practical way to use the Manager is as an ordered package of task definitions for Ant automation, a trick that can turn the Manager into a useful gap-filler in your administrative toolkit.

MANAGING TOMCAT WITH JMX

JMX stands for Java Management Extensions, a flexible Java technology that allows for the remote management of various resources known as Managed Beans or MBeans, through an agent layer called MBeanServer.

A user sends a Get or Set query to the agent layer, which passes it to the appropriate MBean, receives the response, and relays it back to the user, enabling non-invasive auditing and internal value configuration.

In the context of managing Tomcat, the entire Catalina class can be managed as a single MBean, as can any application that exposes itself to JMX. This includes everything from changing internal configurations to returning usage metrics to initiating a server restart.

APACHE TOMCAT CLUSTERING

IBM Db2® Advanced Recovery combines three Db2 tools for advanced database backup, recovery, and data extraction: Db2 Merge Backup for Linux, UNIX, and Windows; Db2 Recovery Expert for Linux, UNIX, and Windows; and InfoSphere Optim High Performance Unload for Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows. These tools help improve data availability, mitigate risks, and accelerate crucial administrative tasks. The advanced recovery function of Db2 can be purchased separately and used with various editions of Db2.
